Honduras SHG/EP FW

Honduras is a tenth of the size of Ethiopia but produces as much coffee and typically ranks in the top 5 producing countries in world.  The country has six distinct coffee growing regions: Copan, Opalaca, Montecillos, El Paraiso, Agalta and Comayagua.  The coffee grading system is based on altitude – Strictly High Grown (SHG) signifies coffees grown at 1350masl or above; High Grown (HG) are coffees grown between 1200 and 1350masl; and Central Standard are coffees grown below 1200masl.
